About Litchfield Hills Fitness

Learn about Litchfield Hills Fitness and the great programs we offer. Our facility is more than just your average exercise facility—it's full of state-of-the-art equipment, dedicated staff, and professionally certified personnel. Owners Peter and Doris Bergamo extend a warm invitation to come check out the facility where good things happen.

We were formerly known as the Litchfield Athletic Club, and we're still locally owned and have been a member of the Litchfield community since 1997. Our members and staff live in the surrounding areas and are considered family and friends. We're family-friendly, and our team is proud to contribute to events and organizations that support our neighbors. For example, we offer programs to help participants prepare for the annual Litchfield Road Race, the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, and many other endurance fundraisers. We also pride ourselves on knowing our members, and we care about their goals and lives. That's why we say that at Litchfield Hills Fitness: no one cares for you like we do!


Cardio Deck

Our cardio deck is filled with some of the most advanced cardio equipment made by Precor and StairMaster, including treadmills and recumbent bikes. Whether you're tuning into one of our TVs, listening to your music, or gazing out through the ceiling-to-floor windows, you'll get your perfect cardio workout!

Strength Training

Balancing aerobic workouts with strength training is integral to maintaining your overall health and fitness. In our strength training area, you'll find a variety of free weights, barbells, a Smith rack, and cable machines. Strength training is vital to developing muscular strength, building strong bones, boosting your metabolism, and reducing your risk of injuries.

Circuit Training

You can achieve a total body workout in just 30 minutes with our 12-station Strive Smart Strength circuit! Strive's unique adjustable cam system allows you to recruit more muscle fibers through the entire range of motion, resulting in more balanced strength.

Cardio Deck, Strength Training and Circuit Training

Functional Training

Functional training is performing exercises that mimic movement and strength patterns used in your daily activities. Our functional training studio is equipped with TRX suspension training systems, kettlebells, battling ropes, medicine balls, physio balls, Bosu, Plyo boxes, and more. So, whether your goal is to increase your core strength and balance, cross train for a sport, or increase power and stamina, we have the tools to help you get there. Work out on your own or with one of our certified personal trainers to achieve maximum results!

Classroom

Our classroom space is wide open, bright, and inviting. With a gym-style floor and an assortment of workout equipment, we can accommodate the most intimate or the most popular fitness program!


Cycling Room

The cycling room is perfect for group cycling classes. Equipped with state-of-the-art bicycles, a great sound system, mirrors, and more, it provides the optimal environment for pushing yourself to exceed expectations.

Fit Pit

The Litchfield Hills Fitness Fit Pit is one of our unique offerings! Open spring through fall, it offers members a chance to work out in the great outdoors using some challenging obstacles and different types of equipment for cardio or strength training.
